Veronica wants to improve their garden, but Kev isn't too thrilled, until he meets Tommy, who works for the council. Together, they steal a Diana Memorial Garden (!) and move it to their yard. Carol sees it as a declaration of war between mother and daughter, and when the garden is destroyed, things get even uglier between the feuding family. Later, it is revealed that a group of unruly youths was responsible for the destruction of the garden and others, but this doesn't help much in resolving the dispute. Meanwhile, Shelia goes to visit her sick mother in a care hospital, leaving Frank with baby Nigel and Delia.
