Conan disputes this theory, explaining that the bathroom light was off when they found him. The police investigate Imura's alibi, which confirms that he was in Guam for the past two days at a shooting range. Conan investigates as well and, realizing how the crime was committed, imitates Agasa's voice and declares Imura the murderer. He explains that Imura used the cooler from the shrimp tank to falsify the time of death, evidenced by the wet glue that had not yet dried on the tip of Nishida's finger and the dead shrimp from the same aquarium.
